Sher has a New Zazzle Store

Hi Everyone,
Things have been up and down here at our house the past few weeks. I was sick when I got back from the trip home at Christmas, then improved a bit, and got sick again...or maybe the first stuff never went away. It's hard to tell! Our weather's also been playing havoc with my asthma and allergies, but the doctor seems to be getting me straightened out...which is a good feeling.

Even so, with being sick, I've been trying to get caught up with everything. That's not been so easy, but even baby steps are some sign of progress. Sometimes we have to be thankful we're even able to take those baby steps! One of the projects I've been working on is a new Zazzle store, called Sher's Stuff. I've been working (last night and today) on creating images to use on different items for sale on Zazzle. I've had fun creating these images, though I'm nowhere near as good as my daughter--never will be, either! But, I've been experimenting with GIMP (a wonderful, free software very similar to Photoshop--and the latest version is 2.6). Right now, there are about 59 or 60 items for sale in my new shop, but by tomorrow evening there will be 100. That's my goal, at least. We'll see how it goes...but I should manage it OK. Tonight I've been working on uploading the other images I created and they are ready and waiting to be used. That will be tomorrow's work. Anyway, it's been fun trying to create images to use--some are strange, and some I really like. It's been said that people will buy even strange things...we'll see.

Other projects I'm getting back up to speed on are about my friend, Anne, from Menlo Park and her journey with the Infant Jesus of Prague. This is a work in progress...and will hopefully be ready for Valentine's Day. I also have stories to write about trips Jiri and I took this fall, in the Czech Republic. Along with these stories, I'm working on other writing...so things will busy...but that's a good thing.

Well, that's all for now...I just wanted to say hi and give you an update about things here in Prague--and tell you about my new Zazzle store, Sher's Stuff! By the way, even if you don't want to purchase anything directly from my store, be sure to shop around on Zazzle...if you go through my link and make a purchase, I will still earn a commission on whatever you buy. That would sure help me out and I'd be ever so thankful! Zazzle has some great artists and creative people selling everything from mouse pads to posters and more! Beka's used Zazzle a few times to print out her own creations, and she (my artiste daughter) says Zazzle does very high quality work with their products. Be sure and check them out...and my store, too!

Have a great weekend!

God bless,
Sher :0)

Hi Karen,
Great to see you, too! Nothing to worry about...just my usual winter stuff!

Have a great day,

Hi Sher

Glad to hear that you are feeling better - your illnesses sound like no fun at all!

Congratulations on your new Zazzle store - I will check it out. I remember seeing some cool Prague Christmas cards in your last store and liking those.

I can't believe it's Feb already! I've been very busy with my regular freelance project and now have a lull of a week or two, so I'm trying to catch up a bit on my blogging!

Take care,

Roz

Hi Roz,
Thanks so much for stopping by! It sounds like you've been busy and I hope your freelance work and everything else is all going well!

We're still in the midst of winter here--a few more weeks of this, I think!

I've been busy with some other writing and trying to stay well. One sad note--one of my gerbil boys died the other day--Pepa. It's been very hard for me...I'm so attached to these little guys. Ota was feeling sad, too, so we found a new companion for him--Baby. Baby is in fact a baby--only 5 weeks old. We're not sure if Baby is a boy or girl...we're hoping for a boy, and that eventually Baby and Ota can be in the same cage and be friends. Right now, they are in cages side-by-side--so they can see and smell one another. They are doing great so far :0)

Have a great day,
Sher :0)

Hi Sher

Glad to hear that you're feeling better but sorry about Pepa's death. Baby sounds very sweet - I hope that he (or she) and Ota will soon become great friends!

I hope spring arrives soon - I know that it's been a long, hard winter in Europe this year.

Things are still uncertain here but I'm trying to remain as positive as possible, hoping that everything will work out well in the end.

Take care and have a lovely day,

Roz

Hi Roz,
Thanks for your note and kind thoughts about Pepa and Baby. Baby is really making a spot in our hearts, and he/she and Ota have been studying one another from time-to-time through their cages :0) And we're giving Ota lots of attention.

Yes, winter has been hard this year all over Europe! It's been great to have snow on the ground for so long here, in Prague. It reminds me of where I came from in the NM mountains.

Yes--staying positive can be challenging, but it sure makes the "getting through" a little better if we can stay positive. I sure with you all the best...you deserve it.

Take it easy and have a great day,
Sher :0)
